Live video feed into police cars' laptops: School cameras boost police response

Fitchburg High School is piloting a new surveillance system that provides the Police Department with a live audio and video feed directly into cruisers’ laptops, and officials say the system will improve the safety of everyone.

The system is free to the city, said one of its developers, Rich P. Kelly, in exchange for use of Fitchburg High School as a test site for the equipment.
