PolyMedix gets biowarfare defense contract

PolyMedix Inc. received a $1.6 million research contract Tuesday from the federal government’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency to develop new antibiotic compounds to combat biowarfare pathogens.

The research contract will support four scientific staff at the Radnor, Pa., biotechnology company.
