Comment: Most readers of Inteldaily already know sufficiently about Peak Oil. If it were not for the works of  Kenneth Deffeyes, the late Samsam Bahktiari, Mike Ruppert, Colin Campbell, Richard Heinberg, Matt Savinar, Julian Darley, and the list goes on, we would not have a had such an in-depth advanced warning of the tragedy that is to come.

The story coming from the news outlets like the Guardian, the BBC, amount to nothing but damage control as the Peak Oil Movement gains momentum and the message that Peak Oil has already occurred spreads.

A new report says worldwide production of conventionally extracted oil could peak in the next decade

There is a "significant risk" that global oil production could begin to decline in the next decade, researchers said today.

A report by the UK Energy Research Council (UKERC) said worldwide production of conventionally extracted oil could "peak" and go into terminal decline before 2020 – but that the government was not facing up to the risk.
