Afghan girl, six, killed as RAF drops box of leaflets

A six-year-old Afghan girl died after a box of leaflets dropped by the RAF landed on her.

Leaflet drops are regularly made by Western forces to provide information and warnings to locals, as well as to counter Taliban propaganda.

The Ministry of Defence said it had launched an investigation into the incident in a rural area of Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan.
