Private schools should set up quarantine areas for pupils suspected of having swine flu, according to advice sent yesterday to more than 1,280 such schools across Britain.
Lawyers for the Independent Schools Council, whose members educate more than 500,000 children, said students might have to take summer exams in isolation or at home to help limit the spread of the H1N1 virus. Veales Wasbrough, representing the ISC, also said affected schools should not refund any fees to parents.
