The fragility of the economic recovery: Bank lending to eurozone industry slows

Bank lending to industry in the eurozone slowed in November, the European Central Bank said on Wednesday, sending a clear signal about the fragility of economic recovery in the 16-nation currency bloc.

Loans to non-financial institutions shrank at an annual rate of 1.9 per cent last month after shrinking 1.2 per cent in October, the Frankfurt-based central bank said in its monthly report on monetary developments in the euro area.
