Comment: TRUE POWER lies not only in doing what you say or threaten to do but making them BELIEVE that you can do it without necessarily having the capacity to do so and/or COVERING up what you have already done.
I outlined in a previous post about how all the so called experts have wrongly claimed America to be a toothless tiger, a power in decline (as if other nations' powers are on the rise during the permanent economic crisis); power is relative. This satirical video (shot in 2006) all but reminds us of America's ubiquitous influence.
We are ALL going to go down Peak Oil American-style -- we have no choice! I wish those in the upper helms of the government would make some of the right choices as advocated by the leading figures of the Peak Oil Movement. The longer they wait, however, the more certain they are condemning everyone, including themselves, to oblivion. First thing, declare to the World that the American dream is over, and that the new era of reality based living is here. The longer an illusion is perpetuated, the harder it becomes to bear its consequences.
